Nuclear Principles Of Conduct
Nuclear Power Plant Exporters' Principles of Conduct
The ATMEA Company, like its parent companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and AREVA, is an adopter of the Nuclear Power Plant Exporters' Principles of Conduct initiative, was announced in September 2011 by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The world’s major civilian nuclear power plant industrial vendors have indeed articulated and consolidated, with the coordination of the Carnegie Endowment and its internationally recognized experts, a set of principles. They reaffirm and enhance national and international governance and oversight, and incorporate recommended best practices in particular for the six principles: Safety, Security, Environmental Protection, Compensation for Nuclear Damage, Non proliferation and Ethics, with the goal of developing such good practices that should guide the exporters of nuclear power plants, their customers and suppliers.
The ATMEA Company is fully devoted to contributing and implementing, in good faith, all best practices established by the industrial sector under these six principles. The ATMEA Company actively participates in POC regular review meetings, the fifth of which was held in Brussels March from 5 to 6, 2014. The ATMEA Company updated the POC participants with its implementation activities and shared its day-to-day business best practices, in compliance with both POC principles and the ATMEA Company's Values Charter.
